We took a week off from Hulda after she was painted to let the clear coat catalyze, and to work on painting our bedroom. Then it was back to work to meet our goal of entering Hulda in our church's 3rd of July Car Show.
Jay came back to help cut and polish the clear coat - now its nice and shiny!
Some touch up paint was needed to cover up this boo boo when we closed the front hood on fresh paint - ouch!
Liz and Stephen helped to install the window with the brightwork this time - our fingers ached for days!
Finally, we added this ladybug to help cover up a flaw that came from the paper sticking to the paint during the two-tone process - and Julia thought it was really cute.

Every so often, I have been checking in to see the progress that you have made on our old car. And now that you are finished, I just have to say that I am incredibly jealous. Hulda looks beautiful! I hope you are enjoying the car that sat in the barn for too many years. Did my husband tell you that I went into labor the day we found the car, and I only drove it twice in the 11 years we had it? It makes me happy to know that you have restored her so beautifully! Enjoy and drive safely!
